Prayer Group

Omnipotent God, who sees and knows everything, we come to you on behalf of those amongst us who suffer in silence. Christ's suffering on the way to the cross was a public display of what He would endure for us. As believers in the Son of Man, grant us the wisdom, the patience, the humility and the empathy to be present for those who, for whatever reason, are reluctant to reach out. May Your presence through the Holy Spirit within us bring comfort wherever it is needed. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Merciful and loving God, we know that You are the power through which all healing is made possible. On this day, we come asking that the Holy Spirit's presence be strong within those offering their healing skills for our sister in faith, Maryalice. Hear our prayers for competence, compassion and healing. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

O Heavenly Father--the Alpha and the Omega of all Creation--we come to You in a time of profound sadness. Your humble servant, Tom Johnson, has left this world to receive his gift of eternal salvation with You. He was a lampstand that shone brightly, sharing Christ's love with all whom he encountered. Though our heads are now bowed in mourning, we trust that through our faith in the resurrected Son, we will one day be reunited with Tom and all of Your other faithful servants. We ask that You surround his family and all others who grieve with the power of Your grace and the solace of Your compassion. We pray this through the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be. Amen.

Loving God, from whom all blessings flow, we ask that You watch over George and Julie Curran as they travel to enjoy the company of loved ones. May they receive the joyous hospitality that they themselves so generously offer to others. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
