Knot Again Is Back!!!

Huge thanks to everyone who helped Knot Again surpass our 2025 goal! As we kick off 2026, our new target is to complete at least 12 sleeping bags, and we need your help to get there. You can support this mission by joining us for fellowship and knot-tying at 6:00 PM Wednesday Dates: (Jan 28, Feb 18, March 18, and April 15), or by donating clean blankets in any condition. Whether you can give your time or spare linens, every bit helps. For email reminders, please contact Kari at kasorah@yahoo.com.

Castle Rock Orchestra   March 1st at 3 p.m.

Extreme Community Makeover to reach out and help our community on Saturday, April 4. Extreme Community Makeover (ECM) is designed to invite volunteers into a partnership with residents in our neighborhoods to complete home and neighborhood improvement projects. These projects include graffiti removal, landscaping, painting, yard work, or other projects identified by the residents. Equally important as items that are built are the relationships being built—between the volunteers and community members, among the neighbors on a block, and between the community and resources in their neighborhood."

Wesley Trip to England – October 8-18, 2026

This exciting trip to England will visit many sites from the lives of John and Charles Wesley and bring the history of Methodism to life. It will also include some other fun sites, such as Stonehenge, a West End show, Windsor Castle and a dinner cruise on the Thames River. Brochures and sign-ups are located at the Welcome Desk.

VIPP - Very Important Point Person

Volunteers are needed to spearhead activities that take groups to museums, concerts, the mountains, educational events, etc. It is a one-time commitment. Previous events have included the Colorado History Museum, Indian Paint Mines in Calhan, viewing the fall colors, Flying W Ranch. Is anyone up for a trip to Breckinridge to visit the Father Dyer sites?

Contemporary Study’s Lenten Study

Book: Remember: God's Covenants and the Cross

By Susan Robb

Rev. Sarah’s Contemporary Issues Group will discuss Susan Robb’s book during Lent. The book traces God’s covenants throughout the Old Testament, showing the character of God’s promises to the people of Israel. The author leads readers through the covenants with Noah, Abraham, Moses, and David, followed by the new covenant established on Maundy Thursday. The Lenten story culminates with an examination of the cross as another example of God’s promise for a new world.

In Person: February 23 to March 30 6:30 to 8:00PM

Zoom: February 20 to March 30 6:30 to 8:00PM

Contact Rev. Sarah for a Zoom Link at sms11@mindspring.com

Tuesday Morning Bible Study

Starting February 24th at 9:30 a.m. our group will read and discuss Max Lucado’s book He Chose Nails. Every gift from God reveals his love, but no gift reveals his love more than the gifts of the cross. These gifts came not wrapped in paper but in passion. They were not placed around a tree but around a cross. They were not covered with ribbons but sprinkled with the blood that Christ shed on our behalf.

The book is $10.00 and may be purchased online at Cokesbury or Amazon. Come join us at 9:30 am on Tuesdays in the church library.

Weekly Quote:

“What if we view this desert time of Lent as not just a time to reflect or to lament or to confess or to fast, but a time where we learn to be free?” — Megan Westra

Weekly Prayer:

God of this Lenten journey, teach us to listen to Your voice above all others. Help us to recognize Your guidance in Scripture, in prayer, and in the quiet movements of our conscience. Give us the humility to accept Your teaching, even when it challenges our comfort. When we face trials or moments of discouragement, remind us of Your glory. Strengthen our faith so that we do not lose hope when the path becomes difficult. Let the light of Your presence be our guide through every shadow. Open our ears, open our heart, and shape our life according to Your Word. Through Christ our Lord. Amen
