Here for you...
During this season of pastoral transition, The Stephen Ministers recognize that change can often feel uncertain or overwhelming, and the Stephen Ministers want you to know that you don't have to navigate these feelings alone. We invite you to reach out if you find yourself needing supportive space to process your thoughts or simply a compassionate ear to listen to your concerns. If you would like to connect with someone who can walk alongside you during this time, please feel free to contact Cheryl Smith or Maryalice McHugh, as we are here to offer care and encouragement whenever you feel the need.
Men's VIPP - Very Important Point Person
Volunteers are needed to spearhead activities that take groups to museums, concerts, the mountains, educational events, etc. It is a one-time commitment. Previous events have included the Colorado History Museum, Indian Paint Mines in Calhan, viewing the fall colors, Flying W Ranch. Is anyone up for a trip to Breckinridge to visit the Father Dyer sites?
Face to Face 2026: A Journey of Faith & Fellowship
Join us for Face to Face, a unique spiritual retreat designed specifically for older adults (ages 60+) to rediscover Christ’s presence and navigate the seasons of aging with grace. This four-session program—held April 29, May 1, 4, and 6 at Central United Methodist Church—offers a supportive space for discipleship, meaningful discussion, and community. Lunch is provided daily as we explore our faith together from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Talk to Pastor Matt or John Tamborski for more info.
Wesley Trip to England – There’s Still Room! - October 8-18, 2026 This exciting trip to England will visit many sites from the lives of John and Charles Wesley and bring the history of Methodism to life. It will also include some other fun sites, such as Stonehenge, a West End show, Windsor Castle and a dinner cruise on the Thames River. Brochures and sign-ups are located at the Welcome Desk.
Mother’s Day Food Drive Our next food drive that supports the food pantry at the Help and Hope Center will be on Mother’s Day (May 10th). Our new grocery totes will be handed out following our service on May 3rd.
We will be accepting food donations and baby care items such as diapers, baby wipes and formula. This is an opportunity for our church to help in meeting the needs in our community during this challenging time.
Join Tuesday Morning Bible Study at 9:30 a.m. in the Library
We are reading Adam Hamilton’s The Message of Jesus: Words That Changed the World. We will be starting Tuesday, April 14th

Book: Streams of Living Water: Celebrating the Great Traditions of Christ By Richard J. Foster
In Person: April 27 to May 18, June 1 to June 8; 6:30 to 8:00PM
Zoom: May 1 to May 15, May 30 to June 12; 6:30 to 8:00PM
The author of the bestselling celebration of discipline explores the great traditions of Christian spirituality and their role in spiritual renewal today.
In this landmark work, Foster examines the "streams of living water" –– the six dimensions of faith and practice that define Christian tradition. He lifts up the enduring character of each tradition and shows how a variety of practices, from individual study and retreat to disciplines of service and community, are all essential elements of growth and maturity. Foster examines the unique contributions of each of these traditions and offers as examples the inspiring stories of faithful people whose lives defined each of these "streams."
Summer Worship Schedule Starting June 7th
8:30 a.m. Outdoor Chapel
10 a.m. Modern Service
If you are interested in helping with setup/teardown let Pastor Matt know we will have a training session in May. We will also need people to help drive the golf cart. Starting in May we will be having a sign up for all of these and for favorite hymns suggestions for our pop up choir to sing.
Pop Up Choir Hymns Selection
As we plan for the Summer Pop Up Choir we like to sing favorite hymns. So put your favorite hymns down on the sheet at the welcome desk.

King Soopers/Safeway Gift Cards:
Did you know that 5% of your grocery purchases can be returned to our church if you have a Safeway gift card to load and reload OR have signed on with King Soopers and designated FUMCCR as your nonprofit organization? Did you know these funds help fund projects in and around the church? Would you like to help bring us back into the $2-3K column?
If you frequent Safeway, simply purchase a grocery card from Theresa Kepple and add money. That card becomes the card you use to purchase groceries. If you wish to use King Soopers, go to KingSoopers.com/CommunityRewards and follow Step #1 to create an account and Step #2 to register our organization (FUMCCR). You will need to add our NPO number which is NPO#QM168.

Weekly Reading
Monday: Acts 2:42-47 | Tuesday: Psalm 23
Wednesday: 1 Peter 2:19-25 | Thursday: John 10:1-10
Weekly Quote:
“God has given us two hands – one to receive with and the other to give with. We are
not cisterns made for hoarding; we are channels made for sharing.” –Billy Graham
Weekly Prayer:
Lord God, You are the one from whom all blessings flow. I confess that at times I can’t
see all Your goodness under the shadow of life’s heaviness, and I struggle to share from
what little I feel I have. You also desire that I bless others, even in small ways. Help me
to become more aware of Your blessings. Give me courage to share what You’ve
given—whether much or little. Thank You for the way You multiply every offering and for
the fullness You return to my heart when I obey You. Amen.
We Pray for...
We invite you to pray for, just say their name, pause, and pray Lord in your mercy hear this prayer.
