Intergenerational Red Bird Mission Trip 2026 Have you ever wanted to go on a mission trip? Have you been on mission trips in the past and yearned for the day you could do it again? We’ve got you covered! Save the Date: Sunday, May 31st to Saturday, June 6th, 2026 We will be traveling to the Red Bird Mission in Beverly, Kentucky. Many of you likely remember them visiting and filling up the fellowship hall with their handmade crafts. They have work camp opportunities and we’ll take a group of all ages to work with them for the week. We’ll also include a fun activity that is yet to be determined. Information coming soon on how to sign up for this intergenerational mission trip opportunity!

Meal Groups: Meal Groups are a chance to connect with new people over a meal at least three times between October and May.  Meal Groups are a relaxed way to build community. A dedicated Core Group Leader will help organize and guide each group, making it easy to plan when and where to meet.

Sign-ups will be open now through end of September. At the welcome desk. If you're interested in joining a group or would like to lead one, please let Pastor Matt know.

Open House Sunday on September 7th

We will celebrate the many ways God is at work in and through our church. During worship, we’ll highlight our ministries, and after the service you can explore ministry tables, meet leaders, and discover ways to connect. Whether you’re new or have been here for years, it’s the perfect time to see where you belong and how you can get involved!

A New Season for Worship at Castle Rock First UMC

Beginning Sunday, September 7, we will unite our two worship services into one Spirit-filled service at 9:00 a.m. Our first Sunday together will be marked with Open House Sunday, and on September 14 we’ll launch Community Faith Time.

Community Faith Time (beginning September 14) offers meaningful spaces for every age and stage:

  • Soul Café (Adults, Library) – A place for conversation, coffee, and connection.

  • LIFT – Living In Faith Together (Ages 5 and up, Fellowship Hall) – An intergenerational ministry where children, youth, and adults learn side by side, sharing wisdom and stories of faith.

  • Nursery (Ages 0–4, Downstairs) – A safe, caring space for our youngest ones.

Whether you come to grow in faith, find encouragement, or simply walk alongside others on the journey, Community Faith Time is for you. We look forward to this new season of worship and life together! If you are interested in helping with worship, community faith time or the Open house please reach out to Pastor Matt at  matt.franks@fumccr.org

Paul’s Mystery Ship Walk to End ALS For six years we have supported the Dannels’ family and all who live with an ALS diagnosis by participating in this walk to raise funds for ALS research and to raise awareness. Outdoor Service Assistance: If you can help with set-up and take-down of materials used during our outdoor service this summer, please sign-up at the welcome center or let Pastor Matt know.

Keeping the Pews Neat and Welcoming: Your help is needed in keeping the sanctuary tidier.
