Summer is almost here, and we're so excited to share our plans for a vibrant season of worship, community, and service right here at Castle Rock First United Methodist Church! There are tons of ways for you to connect and get involved.
Summer Kick-Off: Worship, Brunch, and Work Day!
Mark your calendars for Sunday, May 25th, at 8:30 a.m. We'll be starting our summer rhythm with a special combined worship service. After that, we'll enjoy a delicious church-wide brunch, followed by a work day to help spruce up our church home. It's the perfect way to build community and serve together!
New Summer Worship Schedule (Starting June 1st)
Beginning June 1st, our worship schedule shifts to:
8:30 a.m. - Outdoor Chapel Service (Weather Permitting): Join us for an informal and uplifting worship experience under the open sky. Grab your coffee and a hat – it's going to be a beautiful way to start your Sunday!
10:00 a.m. - Modern Service (Indoors in the Sanctuary): Our Modern service will continue indoors for those who prefer an indoor setting.
Get Involved This Summer!
Want to make this summer even more special? Here are some fantastic ways to participate:
1. Be a Part of Our Outdoor Worship Team
Worshiping outdoors is a unique experience, and we need your help to make it happen! We're looking for volunteers to assist with:
Set-up: Arranging chairs, music stands, and sound equipment before the 8:30 a.m. service.
Take-down: Helping to pack up equipment after the service.
Golf Cart Driving: Transporting equipment as needed.
If you're interested, please sign up at the Welcome Center or let Pastor Matt know.
2. Sing with the Pop-Up Choir
Our beloved Pop-Up Choir is returning for the 8:30 a.m. Outdoor Chapel service! This is a wonderful opportunity to share your voice without any long-term commitment. Just join us for a quick mic check and warm-up at 8:00 a.m. at the Outdoor Chapel before the service.
3. Share Your Musical Gifts
Do you love singing solos or duets? We invite you to share your talents during our summer worship services! Please contact Rev. Matt or Nancy Docksey to schedule a time to share your music.
We can't wait for a summer filled with joy, meaningful connections, and the simple beauty of worshiping together. Whether you lend a hand with set-up, raise your voice in song, or share a beloved hymn, your presence and participation are truly valued at Castle Rock FUMC.
