This Christmas Eve, we invite you to gather with us in a spirit of memory, joy, and hope as we step once more into the sacred story of Christ’s birth — a story handed from generation to generation. Whether you’re returning to a familiar tradition or discovering it anew, there is a place for you here.
We offer three unique worship opportunities designed to meet families, individuals, visitors, longtime members, and neighbors right where they are. Each service bears its own beauty while sharing the heart of Christmas: God with us, God among us, God for us.
✨ 4:00 p.m. Modern Christmas Eve Service
Gather with us for a creative and immersive Christmas Eve worship experience designed for all ages. In this modern service, music, storytelling, and Scripture unfold the ancient nativity story in fresh and engaging ways.
You’ll see the story come alive as youth, children, and adults move throughout the sanctuary lighting candles and taking their places at the manger. Surrounded by songs both familiar and new, we remember that the hope of Christ has been passed from generation to generation—right down to us, here and now.
Whether this is your first Christmas Eve or your hundredth, whether you come with joy or longing, there is room for you in this sacred story. Come and experience the wonder of God made flesh, the light of Christ shared, and communion that reminds us we belong to one another and to God.
🎶 6:00 p.m. Traditional Christmas Eve Service
Experience the beauty, reverence, and tradition of Christmas Eve in worship filled with beloved carols, choral music, Scripture, and candlelight.
This service invites us into the story that Christians have told and retold for centuries—one that has resonated across cultures, woven through families, and carried hope to every generation. The warmth of the sanctuary, the sound of the choir, and the glow of candlelight remind us that God’s love draws us together and lights our way still.
We will hear the prophetic promise of Isaiah, sing the carols of Christmas, break bread at the Lord’s Table, and watch the flame spread from person to person—symbolizing the light of Christ entrusted to us. If tradition speaks to your heart, you will feel right at home here.
🌟 11:00 p.m. Candlelight & Communion Service
Welcome the holy mystery of Christmas night in a peaceful, contemplative worship service.
As midnight draws near, we gather in quiet expectancy, honoring the ancient rhythms of this sacred story. We listen to Scripture by candlelight, receive Holy Communion, and reflect on the God who arrives in humility and tenderness.
This service offers a space for stillness—perfect for those who long for a slower, gentler celebration of Christmas. Here, in the hush of night, we remember that Christ’s light shines in the darkness, and the darkness cannot overcome it. We depart carrying that light into Christmas morning and into the world.
🎁 However You Come, You Are Welcome
We know that Christmas Eve brings many emotions — joy, grief, memory, longing, hope, celebration. We pray that no matter how your heart arrives, you will leave knowing that:
You are loved.
You are welcome.
There is room for you here.
From generation to generation, this story lives because God still speaks, still moves, still breaks into our world with light.
Come and worship with us.
Christ is born. Come and behold. Come and rejoice. Come and be renewed.
Merry Christmas, Castle Rock FUMC family — we cannot wait to see you.
