Trunk or Treat Night : Community Kids will host the annual Trunk or Treat on Tuesday, October 24th, at 6:00 p.m. There will be a sign-up sheet at the Welcome Desk for those who would like to decorate their trunk. We will also have a donation box for Halloween Candy. The Boy Scouts will serve Hotdogs and hot drinks.


Little Blessings The Holiday Gift Catalog raised over $1400 for School Supplies for Little Blessings. Thanks go to everyone who supported this fundraiser. Watch for the Butter Braids order form coming in November.


The Chrismons Repair Session is scheduled for October 19, If you can help, please join us for a sack lunch and fellowship at noon. We have the supplies needed for repair; we can use need “many hand to make light work.”


Harvest Dinner: Due to lack of chairpersons to coordinate our annual Harvest Dinner, this event has been cancelled for this year.


Time and Talent is November 5. There will be a blended church service at 9 am. Chairman Mike Vitek reports: “This is our Church’s annual fund raiser for: our youth’s mission trip; Trustees to purchase equipment for the Church; and the Mission Team to assist local mission(s). Our goal this year is to raise at least $7,250. Red pledge forms are available at the Welcome Desk and need to be returned by Thursday, November 2nd. They can be placed in the offering plate or returned to the Church office.” More details will appear in the October newsletter.


Dinner for 8 has a new name “Dinner Groups” The purpose of Dinner Groups is to gather for a time of food, fellowship, and fun. We have a sign-up sheet at the Welcome Desk. Dinner groups will have a Core Group Leader who will help the group plan and direct the group. You will be assigned a group by the first of October. We are looking to put together groups of 6-8 people. If you have questions, please ask Pastor Matt.

Leah Circle of United Women in Faithwill gather in Fellowship Hall on Thursday, October 13 at 11:45. Sonja Aldridge will present a program on “The Quilting Life.” Lunch will be provided. New members and drop-ins are well one. Please join us.


Plans for our church’s 150th anniversary are underway. Please save the date — August 25, 2024 — for the culminating worship service. Other activities are being planned and wi.l be announced in coming months. Our next meeting will be Noonday, O tower 8 at 6 pm in the church library.


Women's Retreat Save the date Attention all women: keep May 3-5 open for a women's retreat at Ponderosa Retreat and Conference Center near Parks Larkspur CO . More details will be coming.


Reverend Sarah’s Monday night contemporary studies group

Begins its study of Five Marks of a Methodist: The Fruit of a Living Faith by Steve Harper on October 16 at 6:30 pm (in person) and on October 20 at 6:30 pm (Zoom) . A signup sheet will be at the welcome center Is currently available, or you can contact Rev Sarah at sms11@mindspring.com to let us know you plan to attend. Books are available on Amazon. Please make sure you check the author’s name as there is a book with almost the same title by another author.

Tuesday Morning Bible Study: Join us anyTuesday at 9;30 am as we wrap up our study of Rabbi Jason Sobel’s Mysteries of the Messiah: unveiling divine connections from Genesis to today.


Church Grounds Mowing: With the summer months upon us we need people to assist with mowing the Church grounds. If you are interested, we will have a signup sheet located at the welcome desk.


Church Calendar Schedule: As we move into our new calendar year, remember that if you would like to schedule a meeting for your group at our church or have a need to reschedule a meeting, please check with Theresa Kepple to be sure the time and date are available.


Chancel Choir rehearsals have resumed on Wednesday evenings from 5:30 -7:00 pm. Please contact Nancy Docksey at 303-877-9085 if you are interested. In singing with the choir or joining the Bell Choir, which rehearses from 4 to 5:30 pm.and offers another opportunity to share in our church’s music ministry.


Colorado Rockies Tickets: Due to the rain and cancellation of the drone show at Coors Field on August 19, the Rockies’ management has provided Brenda Ryan with free replacement tickets. See her for details or contact her at (720) 290-2814 or brbeekay@comcast.net.


Knot Again cannot accept any donations at this time. When the need arises, we will reach out and let the congregation know our needs, although it might not be might not be until 2028.” Upcoming meetings are at 6 pm September 20, and October 18.


Rev. Sarah’s Wednesday morning coffee time on Zoom begin at 9:30. Contact the church office for the link to connect.


Catch Pastor Matt for Coffee: I am back to working at Crowfoot Valley Coffee on 734 Wilcox St. Monday-Thursday from about 7:45 a.m. until about 10 a.m. Feel free to swing by and grab a drink of choice and talk to me you will not be bothering me if I have my laptop up and typing away. If you want to meet me there to chat just give me a heads-up to make sure I am going to be in the coffee shop.


Grocery Story Card Update: Currently we have over 50 families participating in this program. We receive about $450/quarter from King Soopers. Check the welcome center for directions for signing up for the first time with them. The Safeway Cards are now available. Contact the church office to pick one up.. We have received approximately $250/quarter from Safeway. There is no dollar amount on them this time so folks will just pick up a card and head to Safeway to load the amount they choose to have on it . NOTE: You may use the money you have remaining on the old card, but you will not be able to reload it.
