Lord, You Give The Great Commission

Call To Worship Rev. Sarah Steidtmann

One: God has called us and blessed us.

All: Let us live together in God’s ways and allow his abundant love to embrace us.

One: Oh people of faith, in those times when we fall short of what God desires for our lives and actions, God’s love remains constant.

All: The God of Blessings loves and forgives us with a fierce tenderness.

One: May such tenderness transform our lives and souls.

All: Let us continue our journey of faith together. Help us to encourage each other along the path ahead of us.

A Charge To Keep I Have

We Pray Together

Congregational Prayer Rev. Sarah Steidtmann

All: Gracious God, thank you for welcoming me into relationship with you. By grace, I am free to live in your presence, to enjoy friendship with you. O Lord, I long to dwell with you, not only when I’m alone in prayer, or gathered with your people for worship. I long to dwell with you as I do the work that is before me. Help me to be a person of my word, even when I fear that such faithfulness will be costly to me.

Photo Directory Update: I am waiting on a few things before we fully print the photo part of the directory. I have the address, birthday, and anniversary portion printed just waiting on a few photos before I print those. I am hoping to have it in your hands by Jan. 29th if everything comes together. So if you want your photo in the directory please email it to me at matt.franks@fumccr.org

"Souper Bowl" Food Drive: The Missions Team is sponsoring their "Souper Bowl" Food Drive on Super Bowl Sunday, February 12th. These donations will be given to the Help & Hope Center in Castle Rock to benefit those in need in our community.

Recalculation Meeting Jan. 29th after 2nd Worship Service

It has been a while since the Church recalculated its Mission, Vision, and Plan to better align with each other so that we can be the Church that lives, serves, and has fun like Jesus. After Worship on the 29th the Admin. Council will do this work together.

Save these dates:

• February 12: Missions’ Team annual SOUPER BOWL food drive

• February 22: Ash Wednesday Worship at 6:30 p.m.

Safeway Grocery cards: Safeway has changed vendors for the community reloadable cards and your current cards can no longer be reloaded, but still can be used. Theresa Kepple will be purchasing new ones and we are hopeful they will be available soon.

Knot Again will meet on Wednesday, February 1, from 6 pm to 8:30 pm in Fellowship Hall. Anyone that can make a knot is welcome to join us. Those with really good eyesight thread the needles for all. We always have great conversations. This group welcomes donations of

• regular thread for the sewing machine - any and all colors accepted.

• blankets of any size and shape, can have a hole or 2 and still be useful for us

• old sheets (all sizes) we have found very useful to use on the inside of quilts can be thin but maybe not have actual holes

• material - again any excess from sewers, maybe not super small pieces from ACTUAL quilters as these are time-consuming for me to sew together
